US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Monday had an interview with Venezuelan opposition group Súmate leader María Corina Machado in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Organization of American States (OAS) General Assembly is taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, until Tuesday, news agency AFP reported.
 
The interview was held less than a week after Machado met with US President George W. Bush at the White House. Bush has never held a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez.
