Foreign Minister Alí Rodríguez Araque thinks that the Argentina-Venezuela trade balance near USD 1 billion is the result of the Venezuelan foreign policy based on economic synergy, cooperation, solidarity, and respect for sovereignty.

In his opinion, relations with Argentina "show that we are on the right track," official news agency ABN reported.

As for Mexico, Rodríguez Araque stated, "relations with Mexico are as you know according to the media information and the remarks by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Frías and Mexican President Vicente Fox. We are on standby, waiting for the water to get back to normal."
