"He would rather take a seat and wait, because there will
be no apologies," Vice-President José Vicente Rangel
said in reference to Mexican Foreign Affairs Secretary Luis
Ernesto Derbez, who insisted on an apology from Venezuela.
"Venezuela does not accept imposition from anybody. We will
talk, we will enhance, improve relations with no imposition.
Relations with Mexico will improve," he added, and reported
that embassies will remain open.
In the Vice-President's view, the upcoming visit by Colombian
President Álvaro Uribe "is frustrating for some analysts"
who continuously criticize the foreign policy under the government
of President Hugo Chávez.
Uribe's visit proves good relations with Colombia, as well
as Venezuelan wide diplomatic relations, he added.
