Foreign Minister Alí Rodríguez expects Venezuela to advance in trade exchange with Italy, as well as in other sectors, such as railroads and construction.

According to Rodríguez, the trade balance of both nations has significantly increased.

In his view, Venezuela is interested in Italian wide experience and notable success in development of industrial districts and productive organizations and cooperatives, in view of endogenous development based on small and middle-size businesses.

The first meeting of working groups from the Italian-Venezuelan Council opened Monday to enhance bilateral relations.
