Súmate pleased with OAS and EU objections and recommendations
NGO Súmate voiced satisfaction for the preliminary reports
on the elections for parliament issued by the international
observation missions of the Organization of American States
(OAS) and the European Union (EU.)
The agency members were particularly pleased with the objections
and recommendations, for considering them in line with their
view of the Venezuelan electoral system.
"We think that in their Preliminary Remarks, the observation
missions stressed substantial and essential issues on our
electoral system that should be addressed by citizens and
corrected by the relevant public branches, in agreement with
all the sectors of Venezuelan society," Súmate highlighted
in a press release.
Súmate noted that both missions emphasized on "distrust
of extensive sectors of the Venezuelan society in the Electoral
Power."
