Defense Minister Orlando Maniglia Ferreira reported Tuesday
that he received a letter from US Ambassador to Venezuela
William Brownfield to answer to a prior communication requesting
information on supply of components and spare parts for F-16
aircraft.
Admiral Maniglia did not disclose the content of the letter.
However, as quoted by official news agency ABN, he would
meet soon with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez to convey
the US stance.
