Ecuadorian Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Pablo Rizzo is to take action with his counterparts of Peru and Venezuela to export milk surplus from the Andean nation.

"In accordance with the Trade Law of the Andean region, Minister Rizzo is making direct contacts to place exceeding Ecuadorian milk in the Peruvian market. A similar step will be taken with his Venezuelan counterpart," a press release noted.
 
Ecuador is a member of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), along with Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela, Efe quoted.

Raisers' Association managing director Juan Pablo Grijalva was optimistic about commercial openness among the Andean nations. "It will help face globalization and take provision for a potential Free Trade Agreement with third parties."
