Mexican company complains about blockade in Venezuela

Mexican bottling company Coca-Cola FEMSA (KOF) claimed Monday that a group of people headed by two Venezuelan Congresspersons blocked the access to three of its plants and corporate offices in support of the claims of former employees.

Demonstrators also blocked some distribution sites nationwide, the company added in a press release, Efe quoted.

"Coca-Cola Femsa de Venezuela is surprised that two members of the National Assembly (AN) coordinate such totally illegal and unconstitutional action."

The company reported that it is trying to terminate the blockade by all legal means.

According to a corporate source, the blocked plants are still operating but in a limited manner.
