Nong Duc Manh, the secretary-general of Vietnam's communist party will pay an official visit to Venezuela next April, reported Wednesday the People's Power Vice-Ministry for Asia, Middle East and Oceania Affairs.

According to the Vice-Ministry, the visit of the Vietnamese authority following an invitation of President Hugo Chávez, will help improve cooperation ties in the social, political, cultural, economic and energy areas.

Also in April, the first meeting of the Inter-Government Commission on Economy, Culture, Science and Technology will be held in Caracas.
