National Assembly against release of Posada Carriles
The National Assembly (AN) rebutted Wednesday a ruling issued
by a US judge, dismissing migration-related charges against
presumed terrorist Luis Posada Carriles and granting him full
freedom.
According to AN chair Cilia Flores, Posada Carriles, accused
of the in-air 1976 bombing of an aircraft of Cubana de Aviación,
which killed 73 people, is still a threat on humankind, official
news agency ABN quoted.
"The release of this murderer is a danger because he has
no scruple about killing. Such a terrorist has been charged
with a number of terrorist acts, torture and missing people
in our country and around the world," she said.
Flores thinks, however, that the move took nobody unawares,
because the government of US President George W. Bush protected
Posada Carriles overtly.
