Attorney General summons Globovisión CEO, anchorman
The Attorney General Office has subpoenaed Alberto Federico
Ravell, CEO of private news TV channel Globovisión, and
Leopoldo Castillo, host of talk show "Aló, Ciudadano"
with regard to the events denounced by Minister of Communication
and Information William Lara involving the station.
Based on a press release from the Attorney General Office,
Ravell and Castillo should appear the morning of June 6 and
June 7, respectively, to talk about the images that show an
attack on Pope John Paul II in May 1981, concomitantly with
the song "This is not the end," by singer Rubén Blades.
The shots were aired during TV program "Aló Ciudadano"
where they held an interview with Empresas 1BC CEO Marcel
Granier.
