A group of students of College Unexpo Thursday demonstrated outside the headquarters of local news TV station Globovisión, north Caracas, to show rejection against the government move not to renew the broadcast license for private television channel RCTV and to support Globovisión.

They said they did not endorse the remarks another group of Unexpo students made on Wednesday in front of Globovisión headquarters that they supported the government refusal to renew RCTV license and applauded the beginning of operations of public service Venezuelan Social Television Station (TVes), which is replacing RCTV.

Unexpo students Thursday rejected claims that the students staging demonstrations this week in Venezuela are high-class students. They said they come from low-income areas.
