Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Thursday said pro-government
Podemos party's members still have time to think it over and
go back to the ranks of his government's followers.
He added, "if any of you has shame, this is the right time.
You have time to join us sincerily and build the revolution.
Stop talking nonsense, saying you are revolutionary."
Chávez added that Podemos leaders -who over the last
few weeks have opposed to the changes to the Constitution
advanced by the Venezuelan ruler- are the same people who
on April 12, 2002 -during a failed coup d'etat against him-
tried to reach agreements with the government of Pedro Carmona
Estanca.
"I am calling upon the grassroots of this party (Podemos)
to avoid manipulatio by their pseudo-revolutionary leaders,
who have actually become counter-revolutionary."
