Antonio Ledezma, the leader of opposition Alianza Bravo Pueblo
(ABP), denounced Monday that the government intends to engage
in propaganda in Venezuelan schools and criticized the obligatory
simultaneous broadcast that President Hugo Chávez made
to mark the beginning of the school year.
"The communist-like project reveals itself with the president's
obligatory simultaneous broadcast, but not only with the broadcast
today (Monday), but with the appearances and TV shows with
activities that have been carried out in the context of this
publicity campaign that intends to hide the true reasons for
the structural changes to the Constitution, to which we oppose."
