Two more Sukhoi-30s arriving in Venezuela

Venezuelan Aviation Commander Brigadier General Luis José Berroterán Acosta said two more Sukhoi-30 warplanes purchased from Russia are arriving in Venezuela this month, for a total of 14 units.

Before year's end, he said, other four warplanes are expected to arrive in Venezuela. Supply is expected to be completed in 2008. "The plan of purchases is contracted and ready," he stressed.

The officer said Venezuelan flight instructors are trained, and the new pilots who are to fly the Sukhoi-30s are completing the final training program.
