The Bolivian Senate approved an amendment to an energy agreement that will allow to import more diesel oil from Venezuela in view of fuel shortage in Bolivia, according to an official news release issued Wednesday.

The amendment to the Caracas Energy Agreement, signed by both countries last January, provides for an increase in the purchase of Venezuelan diesel oil to 250,000 barrels from 200,000 barrels monthly, said the news release from the Senate.
