Chávez admits results; congratulates the opposition
Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, following assessment of the National Electoral Council's official report -after 1:30 a.m. on Monday-, congratulated his opponents for their triumph against his proposed changes to the Constitution.

The Venezuelan ruler acknowledged that the Venezuelan dissent "have given a great lesson and we have confirmed that this is the path. I hope they forget the shortcuts and the violent ways."
