The Venezuelan Government Tuesday announced that it would
denounce before the Organization of American States (OAS)
recent "aggressions" from the United States.
The complaint stems from US officials' statements, according
to which Venezuela is permissive regarding the drug traffic
in Latin America.
Last week, US Drug Czar John P. Walters said in Bogota that
Venezuela was not taking efficient moves to fight drug smuggling.
In response to these remarks, Venezuelan ambassador to the
OAS Jorge Valero will request the floor on Wednesday in order
to "denounce aggressions," reported the Venezuelan embassy
in Washington.
