Baduel rejects belligerent status for FARC Venezuela's former Defense Minister Raúl Baduel Tuesday rejected President Hugo Chávez's proposal to recognize the belligerent status of the rebel Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC). Baduel -formerly a close Chávez's ally- compared the Venezuelan ruler's proposal to the fact of acknowledging an "outlaw" state. |
