Spanish airline Air Europa rescheduled on Monday a flight
departing from Venezuela because of a bomb threat call that
made check one of its planes ready to take off for Madrid.
Xiomara Marin, the manager of the private airline, said that
the authorities did not report or find any explosives inside
the plane after searching for them at the very last minute
on Sunday, reported news TV channel Globovisión.
Passengers were asked to withdraw when the plane was already
on the airstrip. Their luggage was checked whereas vehicles
with red lights surrounded the aircraft in the dark, said
Reuters.
Flight interruptions due to bomb threats happen seldom in
Venezuela.
