Venezuela to host Conference of Communications Ministers

Andrés Izarra, Venezuelan Minister of Communication and Information, reported that Venezuela will preside over and host the Conference of Communications Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement to be held in island Margarita.

During the meeting, the Venezuelan delegation will submit a progress report on the country's contribution to Radio Sur and will seek partnerships to enlarge the network.

The minister announced also the establishment of the non-aligned news agency to be headquartered in Malaysia. Venezuela will join the editorial staff.

Out of the 118 member states of the Non-Aligned Movement, 73 delegations confirmed their participation, including 43 at the ministerial level and 11 at the level of vice-ministers.
