Minister of the Interior and Justice Ramón Rodríguez
Chacín reported that he instructed the Scientific, Criminal
and Criminology Investigation Agency (Cicpc) to investigate
into a claim filed on Monday by former Minister of Defense,
retired General Raúl Isaías Baduel, on a presumed
attempt at killing him.
Rodríguez said that as soon as he learned about the
event on the media, he contacted with multiple entities, such
as the Attorney General Office, Cicpc, the Directorate for
Intelligence, Security and Prevention (Disip) and the Directorate
for Military Intelligence (DIM). However, none of them had
received any complaint.
Later, he ordered an investigation and the Cicpc head told
him that Baduel had filed his claim with a delegation in central
Aragua state.
