President Hugo Chávez on Wednesday arrived in Lisbon
as part of an European tour to sign cooperation agreements
and strengthen relations with the government of Socialist
Prime Minister José Sócrates.
Chávez, who was coming from Belarus and Russia, met
at the airport with Sócrates to talk about bilateral
issues and execute several pacts.
In just eight months, this is the third time Chávez
meets with Sócrates; both leaders have expressed they
are willing to promote bilateral relations, mainly economic
relations.
