Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolás Maduro
will travel on Tuesday to Iran to attend a meeting with his
counterparts of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), where the
findings of a summit held in 2006 in Havana will be revised.
According to a press release on Monday from the Venezuelan
Foreign Ministry, the meeting will update the final paper
approved in Cuba three years later and will review the progress
made, AFP reported.
The event will be used also to prepare the 25th Summit of
Heads of State and Government to be held in Egypt, next July
2009. There, Cuba will hand the NAM chair over to the host
country.
A total of 117 nations are members to the NAM.
