Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah hailed the victory of Venezuelan
President Hugo Chávez's supporters in the regional elections
held in the Latin American country last November 23rd.
"We have received with great satisfaction the news of the
victory of the supporters of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez
in the regional elections," said Nawaf Musawi, who is in charge
of Hezbollah's Foreign Affairs, in a message sent to the Venezuelan
Ambassador.
Musawi said that "this victory reflects the great confidence
that the Venezuelan people have in the fight (waged by the
Venezuelan government) against US hegemony."
Moreover, the spokesman of the Shiite group stressed their
friendship with the Venezuelan people and said that the allies
of the US "must accept their defeat."
05:09 PM. Economy. If any country has cashed in on the Bolivarian revolution, that is Brazil, particularly the private companies of the southern neighbor.
