Chávez advocate: Michael Moore should rectify statements

Golinger claimed that Moore has lied when he said that the Venezuelan President has asked him to write his speech at the UN General Assembly

Politics
The Venezuelan government should demand documentary filmmaker Michael Moore to correct his false statements on President Hugo Chávez, made in a TV show in the United States, Venezuelan-US lawyer and researcher Eva Golinger said.

Golinger added in state-run radio RNV that the statements of the film director are disrespectful and outrageous and make fun of the image of the Venezuelan head of state, "by linking him with alcohol, drunkenness and parties;" at the same time, Golinger described Moore statements of "racists" after he stereotyped President Chávez "as the typical Latino tequila drinker."

Golinger added that Moore has lied when he said that the Venezuelan President has asked him to write his speech at the UN General Assembly. The lawyer described Moore as a coward.

Bases of discord

04:17 PM. Western Hemisphere. "Damned empire; I curse you one thousand times; some day you will be finished off and wrecked. I curse you one thousand times, empire." This is the least that President Hugo Chávez has uttered to refer to the US government. In urging the Bolivarian Armed Forces to prepare for war, he said that a US raid on Venezuela through Colombia would trigger and spread over the region "the 100-year war."
