The new sale prices of precooked corn flour, white rice, and ground coffee were published on Wednesday in Official Gazette No. 40,059, as established in a resolution passed by Venezuela's Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, and Food Ministry.

Article 2 of the resolution outlines that the given maximum sale prices shall be displayed on the product or its packaging. The regulation also provides that supermarkets and groceries shall display and give preference to the products included in the resolution over those that are not subject to price regulations.

Anyone violating the provisions set forth in the resolution will be subject to sanctions in compliance with the Law to Protect People's Access to Goods and Services.

Whose victim am I?

They are marching in step to the same tune. There is a coordinated effort to position the idea. The Twitter hashtag  #YoSoyVictimaDeLaGuarimba (I'm a victim of "guarimbas", or protest barricades) can be read on all pro-government Twitter accounts, including those of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the National Assembly's Press Office, the state-run food distribution network PDVAL, state airline Conviasa, the Venezuelan embassies in foreign countries, radio stations and the huge media network responsive to the Government's interests and messages.
