Non-commercial air operations restricted in Maiquetía

Venezuelan Ministry of Sea and Air Transportation, through the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), has endorsed an administrative decision whereby "air operations at Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetía shall be restricted immediately for general aviation aircrafts from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m."

The provision is based on Article 78 of the Civil Aeronautics Law.

Under the administrative decision PRE-CJU-285-12 from INAC, published in the Official Gazette No. 40,064, reads as follows: "Any persons engaged in general aviation to and from Maiquetía international airport shall conduct their flight operations with the restrictions, abiding by any authorizations that may be issued by the Venezuelan Aeronautics Authority."

The decision will be effective 30 days after its release in the Official Gazette.
