Venezuelan Education Minister vows relaxation
The Parents' Network met with Minister of Education Maryann Hanson and succeeded to make her change her stance on Resolution 058
Venezuelan Minister of Education Maryann Hanson reported on Thursday that in the next few days a "scope" would be released in order to relax the implementation of Resolution 058 on the establishment of educational councils.
The news came after a meeting held in her office with the board of the Network of Parents and Guardians, who expressed their concern over the regulation.
While reiterating that the Resolution is legal and the outcome of debate, the senior government authority promised to review the contents in order to dispel any doubts and fit it into the requirements of educational centers.
Hanson seemed to be open to discussion on the contents of the regulation, particularly as the Final Provision No. 2 provides for one year for revision.

The Christmas shopping season kept him working late hours into the night. It was around 11 p.m. and his phone rang. A friend broke the bad news to him over the telephone.
