Air show at celebration of Aviation Day in Venezuela

Air shows began on Tuesday afternoon at Venezuelan Libertador Air Force base, located in Palo Negro, north Venezuela on the occasion of Military Aviation Day and the anniversary of the coup d'état that took place on November 27, 1992.

State-owned news agency AVN reported that Venezuela's Vice-President Nicolás Maduro, National Assembly's President Diosdado Cabello, and Defense Minister Diego Molero attended the event.

The ceremony began with the National Anthem and honors accorded to the national flag.

The very early morning after the presidential election (April 15), both candidates requested the National Electoral Council (CNE) to conduct a full audit of the process:  one, Henrique Capriles, because he asserts that the election results are different from the ones announced, and the other one, Nicolás Maduro, in order to clear any doubt regarding his victory, and to reinforce his political stance. Nevertheless, as it is already known, President Maduro changed his mind.
