Tibisay Lucena, the president of the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE), reported that 97% of polling stations are already in place nationwide.
"It is a quite positive balance, Venezuelans are voting throughout the country," Lucena told state-run TV channel VTV.
There were some troubles as to the opening of balloting stations in some states, namely Aragua, Portuguesa and Delta Amacuro, she avowed. "Nevertheless, fortunately, right now, everything is over 90%," she explained.
