Venezuela's VP says President Chávez observes complete rest
The executive vice-president remarked that the infection Chávez is suffering from "is being treated and controlled." He added that the Venezuelan leader is checking on the figures obtained upon the results of the gubernatorial election held on December 16
At a sworn-in ceremony of pro-government governor-elect Ramón Rodríguez Chacín for Guárico state, Venezuela's Executive Vice-President Nicolás Maduro stated that Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez is "okay and conscious," and that he has been checking on the outcomes of the election results of December 16.
The vice-president pointed out that Chávez's overall health condition is getting stable step by step. The infection is still being treated and controlled through a constant and rigorous methodology.
The leader is still taking complete rest and is accompanied by his relatives, who have been informing him about the situation of the country and the work of the Bolivarian Government.
