Venezuelan ruling party candidates for governors elected on December 16 began their terms to take office on Thursday bearing in mind the slogan of "a single Government" slogan

The slogan refers to the general guidelines that the 20 ruling party's governors shall comply with. The guidelines are set forth in the Socialist Plan 2013-2019 proposed by President Hugo Chávez.

As Vice-President Nicolás Maduro announced during the inauguration of Guárico state new Governor Ramón Rodríguez Chacín, the new governors shall present in 24 hours their state plans. Maduro reaffirmed that governors shall "comply with the guidelines set out in Simón Bolívar Development Plan."

He warned behind closed doors in the midst of the social upheaval occurred during the oil strike in 2002 and 2003.
