Venezuela's ombudsman receives files in defense of political prisoners

Some 125 files have been lodged with the Venezuelan Ombudsman's Office in an attempt to speed up the process for an amnesty request made to the Executive Office

Venezuela's opposition Deputy Edgar Zambrano delivered 125 files to the Ombudsman's Office on Thursday in defense of exiles and political prisoners within an amnesty request made to the Executive Office.

The congressman pointed out that promoting and monitoring Human Rights were among the duties of said office.  

He also expressed that he understood the driving forces limiting the accomplishment of such a goal, yet he underscored that it was his duty to carry out all these procedures.
