Colombian FM to meet with her Venezuelan counterpart on Friday
Via telephone call, Colombian Foreign Minister María Ángela Holguín confirmed her meeting with newly appointed Foreign Minister Elías Jaua, who appreciated the "friendly and fraternal expressions" he has received from some of his regional counterparts
"Colombian Foreign Minister María Ángela Holguín expressed her willingness to take concrete steps in order to strengthen all areas of cooperation with Venezuela," the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said in a communiqué.
Holguín confirmed her visit to Caracas through a telephone call held with the Venezuelan FM, who expressed his gratitude for the "friendly and fraternal expressions" he has received from some of his regional counterparts, Venezuelan state-run news agency AVN cited.
On Wednesday, the newly appointed foreign minister met with Argentinean Planning Minister Julio de Vido in an attempt to "reinforce Venezuela-Argentina trade."
The story could have been different. On April 12, 2014, university students led a march to the Attorney General Office in order to submit concrete requests in regards to security and to demand the release of a group of youngsters detained in Táchira state.
