Venezuelan gov't does not know of Venezuelan victims in Algeria attack
As many as 37 citizens from eight countries were killed in an Algerian plant
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal notified that 37 nationals from eight countries died during the raid after a four-day seizure of the facilities that ended in bloodshed last Saturday.
"We are monitoring the situation and thus far we have been not apprised of any Venezuelan victims in the tragedy in Algeria," a source of the Venezuelan Foreign Office told daily newspaper El Universal.
The Venezuelan government "strenuously condemns the terrorist attacks perpetrated by extremist groups in the gas facilities," state the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release on Monday.
