After seven hours, questioning on Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado at the Attorney General's Office has concluded. The deposed deputy is accused of alleged involvement in a plot to kill the Venezuelan president and mount a coup.

"I spoke the truth with the consciousness of a person who has always acted under the Constitution, her values and the truth. This battle we are engaged in is moral and for the truth," Machado commented.

"The power of the State cannot placate the consciousness of a free individual," Machado twitted after questioning.

The opposition leader announced she would speak to the press later on.
